Blues Nite and Folk Nite are back!

Stop by the Peninsula Art Academy for the public music jam sessions. Be prepared to have fun and learn something at the same time with your favorite songs and styles ...

Folk Nite:   Acoustic music from old-time to modern tunes

Second Sunday of each month, 7-10 PM

Blues Nite:  Plugged in music from blues to R&B to rock and roll

Fourth Saturday of each month, 7-10 PM

Everyone takes a turn in round-robin fashion to pick a song and lead it and everyone jams with whatever instrument they bring.  You can always pass if you wish or even pick a random song and we'll all figure it out together.  Every month is a delightful surprise of music and instruments.  You do not have to be an expert musician, just proficient at enjoying yourself with fun music.

We have the computer and screen hooked up again so we can all be playing the same music (and singing the same lyrics).  Please bring songs you would like to jam with, including chords and lyrics, preferably on a USB drive.

Best yet, though, show up with your instruments and/or voices and innovation and join the jam!  Please note that Folk Nite focuses on acoustic arrangements though you can plug in your electrified instruments at Blues Nite.

Look for the Facebook Group called Folk Nite at Peninsula Art Academy.  Join it for even more details!
