Welcome to the Peninsula Art Academy

The Peninsula Art Academy is the home of art in Peninsula, Ohio. With resident artists and artist teachers, the Academy is where you can discover, learn and experience art.

The Academy offers adult and youth classes and workshops in Historic Peninsula Village, the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley. A variety of learning opportunities are offered in many of the fine arts, including drawing, painting, pastel, photography, weaving, spinning, glass blowing, glass fusing, enameling, jewelry, Artforkids and more. We invite you to explore our current offering of classes and contact us if you have any questions.

The Academy has a wonderful gallery featuring works in all mediums by regional artists, working artists studios, an exhibit hall, a music stage and the Fiber C.A.F.E. (center for alternative fiber experience).

Warm and Hot in Peninsula!

The Gallery Glass Show for 2017 opens Saturday, April 1, reception from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and turn through May 14, 2017. This is our third biennial show featuring work by regional glass artists created at temperatures above 1200 degrees. See work by the following artists, many of which are award winners:

Our opening reception will feature live demonstrations of glass blowing by Bob Pozarski and others, flame worked beads by Kim Gurski, spacey music by Andrew Izold, and light refreshments.

We have invited professional glass artists to stimulate our students and interest our educated Cleveland-Akron area collectors.

You will find in the show flame worked and fused glass jewelry, fused glass vessels and wall pieces, and blown glass art in many shapes colors and styles.

The Peninsula Art Academy is a teaching facility with classes in fine arts, weaving and craft. Marianne Hite and Bob Pozarski teach glass fusing, stained glass and glass blowing for beginners through advanced students.
